  4.            This is a collection of my grandmothers favorite
  5.          recipes. Some of them were passed down from her mother
  6.          making them over 100 years old. I discovered them while
  7.          doing some research for our family tree. Many were my
  8.          favorites that I remember Grandma making for me. You
  9.          can imagine my delight at finding them.
  10.  
  11.            The reason for lack of time and temperature settings
  12.          is that Grandma used a wood burning stove and relied
  13.          mostly on experience. However by using the settings
  14.          from similar, more modern recipes you shouldn't have
  15.          any trouble. I have tried many of them and haven't met
  16.          with disaster yet.

  18.            These recipes give a glimpse into grandmas kitchen and
  19.          the work it took to put a meal on the table without the
  20.          aid of all the modern appliances we enjoy today.

  22.            Also some of the ingredients may be hard to come by or
  23.          be called something different now. Believe it or not you may
  24.          try looking in a drug store instead of the grocery store
  25.          for these particular ingredients. My pharmacist helped me
  26.          with some of these ingredients. Hope you enjoy them as
